A GENERATIONAL TAEKWONDO ACADEMY
K.S Choi Taekwondo center has been serving the South Bay for over 40 years under the lineage of the Choi Family. Grand Master Kwon Sung Choi opened his first school in 1982 located in San Pedro, CA before making his way to the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Today, his son, Master Danny Choi and his wife Master Megan Yi Choi, are in charge of the family owned academy and continues to teach the same principles that Grand Master K.S Choi had taught many years ago.
Using the body to train the mind, our Taekwondo based curriculum focuses on the importance of self-discipline, integrity, competition, friendship, community and perseverance to help develop the best version of our students. Each of our instructors are Kukkiwon certified black belts with years of teaching experience and some who are both national and international Taekwondo athletes and champions. All classes have at least three instructors at all times.

“This is an awesome martial arts school! Our whole family loves this studio, with all of our kids joining since 2015. We moved from San Jose and K. S. Choi is the 2nd Taekwondo school for my son. I’m pretty sure it is the best Taekwondo school in California. All masters are professional and Seonbae(senior) instructors are nice, friendly, and kind. All students are becoming friends. My son is learning not only skills but also handling his mind. Sometimes, he cries during class, but he is always saying “I don't want to give up”. He enjoys school and I also see he is improving a lot.
